Publication policy and Open Access

Tailor-made publication policies for Leiden research institutes

In this project, the CDS Open Access Team provides assistance to the research institutes at Leiden University to draw up or elaborate their own publication policy.

The goal of the project is to facilitate a better overview of the choices for publication that the institutes and their researchers have, and at the same time to manage costs more closely. In doing so, we focus on Open Access publishing.

The publication policy is not limited to peer reviewed articles only, but nonetheless pays ample attention to these specific publications, because the current Open Access debate as well Open Access policies focus on articles. Both nationally and internationally academic funders and governments strive to reach 100% Open Access of peer reviewed scientific articles.
