Connecting to the Network of Digital Heritage
Beter use of heritage collections with Linked Open Data
Many cultural heritage institutions use a technology called Linked Open Data to enhance the digital accessibility of their collections. Many researchers and students in the Humanities and the Social Sciences, however, encounter barriers to make a productive use of such open data.
The project “Connecting to the Network of Digital Heritage” addresses the issue of usability of heritage data and developed a range of tutorials to explain the main concepts surrounding Linked Open Data. We also set up several interactive programming environments in which researchers and students can experiment with the possibilities associated with Linked Open Data.
