Course reserves

Course reserve shelves are a convenient way to temporarily group library materials together, for use inside the library.

Leiden University teachers can request for library materials to be put on a (digital) course shelf. Students are welcome to read course shelf items inside the library. It is not possible to borrow these items.

Where are the course shelves located?

In the University Library course shelves can be found on the ground floor in the "Noordhal", next to the printers.

Course shelves related to Asian Studies can be found on the second floor in the Asian Library (entrance 8).

At the Law Library, course materials are kept at the library desk, and/or in the designated library shelving areas.

At the Social and Behavioural Sciences Library, course materials are kept at the library desk.

At the Science Library, course materials are kept at the library desk.

At the Wijnhaven Library, course materials can be found in the last bookcase, following the reference collection. Items are available during library desk service hours.

At the Walaeus Library, key text books and recommended literature for courses in medical and biomedical sciences are kept at the library desk. These books can be issued for use within the library for one day, upon presentation of a LU-Card or LUMC badge. An overview of available titles can be found in the catalogue.
