Workplaces for researchers

Are you a researcher looking to intensively use our library collections? Book one of our dedicated workplaces.

For researchers affiliated with either Leiden University or another university, the libraries offer a few workplaces to facilitate convenient use of our collections, keeping the materials at hand for a period of up to 3 months.

Locations

One of the workplaces is located in the University Library (UB) on the ground floor. For researchers relying specifically on the library's Asian Collections we have the Van Gulik Room, located inside the Asian Library.

Facilities

The workplaces are in lockable rooms. Each spot has a desk, book storage facilities, and a monitor with (USB-C) dock to connect and charge your device.

For whom?

Workplaces are meant for use by researchers only. A (Leiden or other) university affiliation is mandatory. The rooms cannot be used by students.

Requesting a workplace

Please show your interest in using a workplace by sending us an e-mail, mentioning your specific university affiliation and your field of research.

If your application is accepted and we have a free spot, you will be sent some more information and an agreement form to fill out. A workplace can be booked for up to 3 months.
